European Journalists and the Sea

The main objective of this project is to improve our understanding of science and environmental journalism concerning the marine environment in twelve European countries. Data is obtained by semi-structured interviews on journalists’ motivations, difficulties, experiences, sources, and insights in writing about the sea and the coast. Each country is analysed and compared to other countries in Europe, trying to find what is common and what is different.
